WE ACCEPT FILES FOR FILM OUTPUT FOR SCREENPRINT IN THE FOLLOWING FORMATS:
Illustrator CS3 .ai or .eps (preferred)
Photoshop .psd or .tif (minimum 300dpi, at actual print size)
Acrobat .pdf
OR
The original art or high-resolution printout for scanning. Art should be actual size, but may be okay otherwise. Please consult us about this.
We suggest that files be prepared in Illustrator, as vectors have much cleaner lines that bitmap images. Text in particular should be in vectors whenever possible.
FONTS
All fonts must be converted to outlines, or embedded in the file.
SEPARATIONS
The final print file must provide each colour on its own layer in 100% black, or in the case of a gradient – in greyscale. Our onboard RIP program can convert greyscales and gradients into halftones, or you can provide the file already as such, using Photoshop halftones.
ARTWORK ASSISTANCE
If the file is low-resolution and pixellated, we will discuss the best options for you to get quality prints. Any files not ready for film output may incur art department charges, at the rate of $80/ hour, billed in 15 minute increments. We will give you an estimate before commencing on your artwork.
INK COLOURS
Please assign Solid Pantone Numbers to the colours in your design, or come in and choose pantone colours from our swatchbooks.
Please DO NOT flatten your image.
